This is the story of two people who first met in the early ’90s but never quite became a couple. They shared a deep friendship for years, but life pulled them in different directions—other relationships, jealous partners, and eventually, lost contact.
Years later, one of them came across a photo online and was instantly flooded with memories of the good times they’d shared. There had always been a strong connection between them, but they had never truly confessed their feelings.
"Confession" is for anyone who’s ever had someone special—someone who meant the world to them, even if time and distance got in the way. Maybe it’s time to reach out. Maybe it’s time to say what’s been left unsaid, whether it’s love, friendship, or something in between.
The lyrics were written by Kari Ehli, inspired by conversations with Frank Lechtenberg. Frank and Dominik Junker wrote the music in just a few hours, creating the melodic foundation Kari used to shape her vocal lines and lyrics.
Norrá Hill handed the track over to producer THIMO, who brought a polished, pop-forward edge to the song—and we honestly think he brought out the best in it.
We were also thrilled to have Jens-Henning Gläsker join us on drums for the first time. A longtime music teacher in Germany, Jens brought both precision and soul to the rhythm section on "Confession."
